It's Pizza night, courtesy of our high school CYO! We come together as a faith community every Friday night during Lent to be reminded of our common journey throughout Lent. Dinners are delicious and free. Stations of the Cross follow at 7:00 pm in church.
Comedy Night has been rescheduled for March 29. If you purchased tickets via check/cash at the parish office, refunds will be available for those who are unable to make this new date. If you purchased tickets online, refunds were processed on February 12th. You will need to repurchase tickets.
No matter how long it’s been, Jesus is always waiting to unburden you in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Here you will make peace with yourself, with God and others. Visiting priests will be available today from 4:00 to 5:00 pm to hear Confessions. Due to last minute cancellations from visiting priests, Msgr. Bransfield and Msgr. Flanagan will hear Confessions from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Even if it’s been many years, don’t let that stop you; the priest is ready to guide you through the process.
This year we mark 75 years as a parish and celebrate our Diamond Anniversary. We were officially declared a parish of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on July 2, 1947, when our founding pastor, Fr. James A. Donnelly met with Dennis Joseph Cardinal Dougherty, who granted the people of ‘Green Ridge’, in Delaware County, permission to establish a new parish. Donnelly stayed through the founding/building phases of our parish, as the cornerstone for the ‘Old Church’ was laid in 1949, and our rectory built in 1951, followed by the Original Church building.
